Low Sugar Hay
Low sugar hay is very important in a horses diet because of it's health characteristics and the huge benefits it can offer. Horses that are obese, suffer from ulcers, Cushing's, Laminitis or Insulin Resistance must have low Sugar hay as the majority of their diet.
The question is "what is your horse eating?" and "Do you know exactly what is in your hay?"
"Did you know that your horse could be eating as much as 1 to 1.5 kilograms of sugar from 3 biscuits of hay per day from a high sugar hay"
At Top Foda all our hay is independently tested for Feed & Minerals so we can show you what your horse is eating.
When purchasing your next lot of hay ask to see its Feed & Mineral test, that is the ONLY way you can be sure of what you are purchasing. But also please be sure the test is correct as we have seen other tests photocopied, dates changed and even the incorrect type of hay shown to what was being purchased.
